Meeting minutes, May 24
1. Follow-up
a. "When Abortion Was A Crime" panel -- went well, good discussion afterwards.
b. Take Back The Night-- thanks to everyone who came out!
2. In the News: a. Amnesty International considering a pro-choice stance
b. In Kansas, pro-choice governor vetoes legislation requiring physicians to furnish the state with additional info when they perform abortions
c. WONDERFUL NEWS: FDA's advisory panel votes unanimously to approve HPV (genital warts) vaccine, which could prevent many cases of cervical cancer
d. Clinic employee assaulted by anti-choicer

4. State Representative Dan Stewart stopped by to talk about current legislation related to repro health and choice. Hopefully we'll do an event with him again either this summer or in the autumn.
